Paseo #11

Please mark your calendars for the weekend of April 20th as Paseo #11 will then take place at beautiful Camp Chandler. Lauren Hood has been selected to serve as Lay Rector and she has assembled yet another awesome staff!

Please also be in prayer about sponsoring a pilgrim for the next Paseo. Sponsorship is limited to one pilgrim per paseista (two per couple). Sponsorship is an important part of the Paseo experience. Your prayers and support of your candidate are the first step to the blessings he or she will receive during a Paseo weekend. Having one-on-one discussions about Paseo is the preferred method of introducing someone to this vital ministry.

When you speak to a prospective pilgrim remember to refrain from telling them of the surprises over the weekend! We don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Be sure to explain to your candidate that there may be no availability of a slot for him or her for a given weekend. Confirmation of those attending will be made just as soon as possible after the deadline for pilgrim applications has passed.

Please pray for the Pilgrims and Staff of Paseo #11 in the days and months leading up to their amazing weekend.

Also, please pray for the Staff of Paseo #12! The staff for Paseo #12 needs forming and we particularly interested in praying up for staff for #12 who has not yet served! As hard as it is to believe, serving on staff is even better than being a pilgrim; "it is more blessed to give than to receive" comes alive in new ways; God truly blesses the staff. Please "prayerfully" consider serving on staff for Paseo #12 (or later). If you're interested, let Charles Edmondson know by email (charles@cwepc.com) or download and send in a staff application.

Paseo Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ,
we are Yours. Use us now for the sake of those whom You bring to this PASEO. May they find it to be the end of SELF-DOUBT, and the beginning of real PURPOSE, and may we help them claim Your Purpose in their life and make it their own. May it be for them the end of mere CONFIDENCE, and the beginning of a greater TRUST, and may we help them discover that life is not about what they are doing, but what You can do through them. May this time be the end of HOLDING ON and the beginning of LETTING GO, and may we help them find that those who surrender are those who triumph. Finally, may there be less and less of us, Lord, and more and more of You, and if there is to be a miracle in just one person’s life, help us to help make it happen
